Doodling is under rated as an art form. Not only can it help you learn how to draw, it can be an expressive outlet, stimulate the imagination and it is a great habit to develop as an artist / designer. In this class we will create thematic doodles each day, creating a sort of visual journal. We will pick some favorites to use as a design for a finished piece. We will use pencils, pens and colored pencils. Students will need a hardbound sketch journal.

Pay via PayPal below.  Checks may be mailed to us before 1st day of class.

Skill builder courses are short classes to help you in your trouble areas. Here we will look at where you are presently in your drawing skills and work individually to notice where improvements are needed, correct them together and then try it again with the new information presented.  For this skill builder course, we will learn how to draw a better, more realistic and proportional face from photograph sources onto toned paper, a big helper in obtaining proper values.  Beginners welcome.

Materials needed: vine charcoal sticks, kneaded eraser, mechanical eraser (thinner the better), HB, 2B, 4 or 6B Generals charcoal pencils, white pastel stick or Generals white charcoal pencil.  Grey toned paper in a sheet or spiral notebook.  Students need only one sheet but an extra is good to have on hand.

Pay via PayPal below.  Checks may be mailed to us before 1st day of class. Registration required for all students.
